The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing and capturing new business initiatives in international markets in support of the Unmanned Solutions organization within LM MST. Business Development Analyst will serve as campaign team BD lead throughout capture activities. Daily activities include customer relationship and team building; coordination of export licensing; planning and support to tradeshow events, discovery efforts leading to business opportunity identification; diagnosis efforts leading to opportunity qualification/disqualification; competitive assessment and posturing; capture strategy development; proposal and color reviews participation; resource planning and management; and tactical business capture planning and execution. The successful candidate will work effectively with operating unit leadership as well as program, technical and functional entities to include Corporate, Washington Operations, and the supporting Lockheed Martin Lab organizations and must be an independent thinker, a self-starter, and proven demonstrated leadership. Prior experience and a record of success conducting international business development in security and defense markets worldwide is required. The successful candidate must have prior experience with US Foreign Military Funding (FMF), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Programs and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) to Foreign Countries.
Broad defense industry experience with recent focus on Group 1-4* Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) development, acquisition, operation and sustainment.
Experience in FMS (Foreign Military Sales) environment
Demonstrated leadership experience in strategy development and proposal/program/capture management.
Excellent written and verbal skills necessary to articulate market and capture strategies at the executive level.
Recent UAS operational experience.
Prior operational military experience with service in Combat, Combat Support or Special Operations units.
Experience in obtaining DoD/FAA Air Worthiness Release (AWR), FAA Certificate of Authorization (COA) and FCC Spectrum Authorization.
Prior experience working with Lockheed Martin Corporate International Business Development (CIBD) field offices, Lockheed Martin overseas business entities, and international consultants.
Current or former licensed pilot.
